It’s hard to believe that superficial, sardonic Haley managed to bluff her way into one of the best universities in the country, but she seems to have more brains than she lets on. Haley is the definition of a handful, with intense mood swings and a tendency to be very high maintenance.
Secret: Earlier in the year, Haley fell pregnant, but had a miscarriage before she could tell anyone about it.

Jeanette Kingsley/ age 18 / model: Lauren Conrad
Jeanette has been best friends with Ruby ever since 6th grade. They’re still as close as ever and practically grew up together, even ending up living in the same city. Jeanette was always the shy, quiet one alongside Ruby, and even though Ruby has humiliated, embarrassed and hogged the spotlight from her a countless number of times, Jeanette is always willing to forgive and forget.
Cassidy Hallon/ age 19/ model: Camilla Belle
Cassidy is just as competitive as Ruby, but never shows her bad side. She’s a nice girl who’s willing to do you a favor if you ask for it, but can also be very blunt and honest if you annoy her. Her mother passed away a few months ago because of pancreatic cancer, and Cassidy hasn’t quite gotten over it yet- but Ruby is always there for her. Cassidy and Ruby share a cozy apartment in West Philly, within walking distance of Penn.
Della Li/ age 22/ model: Kiko Mizuhara
Della is a senior at Penn, whom Ruby met on the first day of classes. She’s loud, outgoing, confident, and surprisingly, quite a good student. Della helped Ruby get through the first few weeks of college and has been her friend ever since, always seen together grabbing lattes at the local Starbucks or crash-studying at the library. Although Della loves it at Penn, she is only there because she was rejected by Harvard and Penn was her safety school.
Liam McMahon/ age 18/ model: Paul Wesley
Liam and Ruby met at Orientation, and they bonded immediately. Maybe it’s because of Liam’s laid-back, easy-going attitude, and his great sense of humor. Liam would make a perfect boyfriend material for any other girl, but Ruby considers him as one of her best friends and treats him like a brother. He’s secretly crushing on her but is too scared to admit it, afraid that their relationship will be ruined.

Will has been dating Ruby for a year, and they've been going strong ever since. Will loves Ruby as he should, but sometimes he doubts that Ruby was the same girl he met a year ago. He is also beginning to think that Ruby is getting in the way of his law career but continues to stay with her. They're exact opposites, but that's what makes a couple great...right?

Mandi DiMaggio/ age 19/ model: Leighton Meester
A girl with a name that matches. Mandi is all about 'I' and nothing else, and always wants the best for herself. She academically excels in nearly everything and is what you would call a goody-two shoes, but Mandi is anything but that. Mandi is the best in almost all her classes at Penn, and she's also who Ruby's trying to beat.
